RS200 Class Rules - Outcome of Vote

Following a proposal by Hamish Walker at the RS200 AGM, August 2012, to remove the class rule banning the helm touching the gybing strop when going downwind except when gybing, a vote went to all members of the RS200 International Class Association.

The vote was to decide whether the existing rule should be retained and policed, or whether it should be deleted and the gybing strop could be used without restriction.   The rule in question is 1.3.26

53 members of the Association voted, with 50 (94%) for, and 3 against, retaining the existing rule, and policing it appropriately.

The rules are at http://www.rs200sailing.org/docs/RS200%20Rules%20v2%207_3%2011.pdf

The RS200 Class Committee will be advising on how the rule will be policed at racing events.
