Class Association
We are delighted to announce that Rheanna Pavey has volunteeered to be the new RS200 Social Secretary, working alongside Tim Ellis and the rest of the Committee.
Rheanna is 22, from Suffolk and relatively new to the RS200 class - she started sailing in toppers and then moved into Laser Radials. She was a member of the Topper National Squad and Laser Radial Youth Squad and achieved an impressive 5th place at the Youth European Championships in 2012.
Rheanna was a member of the Podium Potential squad for two years whilst studying at the University of Reading, but says "I love sailing and competing but also love socialising and working, hence didn't carry on my Olympic campaign".
" I'm highly competitive and love sports of all kinds - I ran the Brighton Marathon last year and love a challenge. I've done the RS200 Nationals twice and a few other national circuit events. I have only had an RS200 since December but have already had the mast fall down, 2 collisions and many more accidents so am definitely still learning!"
