Countdown to Exe 22/23 Apr - Magic Marine Nationals Circuit and 2ndhanddinghies.com SW Ugly Tour
This is the first of our new-for-2017 style events, being part of the 2ndhanddinghies.com SW Ugly Tour, and also the Magic Marine National Circuit.
Sailors of all levels will be warmly welcomed to this jewel in Devon's sailing crown, with its friendly feel and ideal location close to the attractions and beaches of the seaside town. The SW tour's namesake, Pete 'Ugly' Vincent will be proviiding prizes aimed at the silver and bronze fleet regional sailors, whilst the battle of the regions will take place amongst the gold fleet sailors for the overall prizes.
On Saturday, there will be a special 'Race Home', where the further back you are at the start, the more chance you have to win! Details at the briefing.
The club will be serving sailors' suppers on Saturday evening (book in advance for a 10% discount), so do stay for the evening and enjoy a few drinks on the picturesque balcony, music and chat to celebrate the start of the National Season. Those with Go-pros can play footage in the bar, so do bring them! As those who have sailed at Exe will know, socials there do have the habit of developing into some of the most memorable RS parties, so don't miss out!
All the details you need, including important arrival info are on the evnt page here.
If you're coming to Exe and the Nationals, don't forget to enter the Nationals before you come away, and your name will be entered into a draw to win an Easter egg and a bottle of fizz! You don't need to pay until the early entry deadline, and currently the odds are 1:11
