RS200 Class Association Subsidised Coaching - apply now!
PRESS RELEASE: RS200 Class Association announces subsidised class coaching programme for clubs
As the most popular double-handed class in the UK, the RS200 attracts sailors at all levels from Olympians to grass roots sailors.
In recent years the Class Association have encouraged youth sailors in the class by contributing towards coaching initiatives in the North, South and South West. For 2018/19 this will be broadened to include all ages and areas of the country.
Class secretary Sally Campbell announced that “the class will contribute £50 towards coach costs for each of 5 coaching days and help clubs source a suitable coach.”
Clubs are invited to apply for one of the awards, which will be awarded on a 1st come, 1st served basis by region. To be fair to all the class association have set the following criteria:
1. 1. The coaching session should be for 5-10 boats, which can be from the home club or elsewhere
2. 2. The club will need to provide a RIB and fuel
3. 3. Coach costs above the £50 should be shared between the sailors taking part
Clubs interested in taking up this opportunity should contact class secretary, Sally Campbell [email protected]
