Sailing Chandlery RS200 Northern Tour @GNAC
A fantastic weekend at Bassenthwaite for the 2021 GNAC. Brilliant close racing out on the water with a wide range of conditions from screaming downwind in 25knot+ gusts to drifting round the following windward mark!
It was a great turn out for 200’s with 22 boats and great to see plenty of familiar faces along with lots of youngsters getting stuck into the 200 fleet. 8 closely fought races over the weekend made for a brilliant weekend sailing made even better by the Heavenly fish & chip van on Saturday night.
Ollie/Esther just managed to pip locals Phil/Naomi for the win, however it was the 400’s that locked out the top 3 overall after being able to stretch their legs on Sunday with more breeze.
Huge thank you to Bassenthwaite for hosting such a great event especially with the number of boats and volume of races.
The final event of the series is at Budworth on the 16th October, see you there!
