81 boats on the EaSEA tour so far - results to date
Can you believe it, a massive 81 boats have raced so far in the inaugural Sailing Chandlery EaSEA tour, for RS200 sailors in the East and South East!
Have a look at these results and the familiar names from the National Tour, with so many regional names in the mix, will show you the strength and depth of this tour.
Ben Whaley and Lorna Glen lead after 5 events, as one of the most travelled and consistent pairs this year, they will surely be in the runnings for the National Champions title at East Lothian, and they are not the only sailors from the EaSEA Tour in the Runners and Riders!
The next event on the tour is the Sailing Chandlery EaSEA Championships at Felixstowe ferry, where the conditions often miorror those at East Lothian, so it's no surprise to see that sailors are keen to come and sail at Felixstowe. Anyone who has sailed at an RS200 event will know that it's not all about the names at the top - all RS200 events are very welcoming and open to all, whether you are an experienced sailor, or new to the boat, in fact our events are the ideal place to get tips on boat set up, boat handling and tactics. A great opportunity for young sailors in particular, there's not many opther sports where novices race alongside National Champions!
With easy launching in the mouth of the Deben, a championship race area on the doorstep and panoramic views, Felixstowe Ferry is the east coast's answer to Hayling Island.
The inaugral EaSEA Champs offers:
Top drawer race management
A similar sea state to North Berwick
One day of line starts, one day of gates [if numbers allow]
Sunset shandies on the balcony
Competitors dinner included with entry
£5 per tent camping at the club
Prizes from Sailing Chandlery
So whether you are warming up for the nationals or just want a cracking weekend of championship racing, come along and join in on the day.
