This is what you have all been waiting for! The social programme for the Nationals is complete and it's set to be a belter.
To start the week off on the Sunday evening we have a Commodore's Reception with complimentary sausages to reward you for the long journeys made to arrive. This is followed by the Gate Start Seminar which will be hosted by Brendan Lynch with top sailors followed by a tactics talk from local expert Jim Sinclair.
Monday evening see's the fleet dive into some Scottish activities with a Ceilidh. This is a great opportunity to get your best tartan outfit on and learn the Scottish traditions (top tip: make friends with the Scottish so you know what to do)
Tuesday is the Masters meal evening which is happening at the Fringe by the Sea Festival. For those younger sailors you may want to travel into Edinburgh for the evening to enjoy the Fringe Festival and all the city has to offer.
Three days into the event and what better way to celebrate than the famous RS 200 Fancy Dress party. The theme for this is Outer Space, we want to see aliens, space ships, astronauts etc. Some people clearly thought ahead with outfits that fit the bill at last years nationals!
Thursday sees the social programme slow for the evening with the AGM for the class. This is a great opportunity to find out what is planned and if anyone would like to help this is the best way to get involved!
The final night sees the fleet remove the wet suits and salty hair to get dressed up for the Black Tie Championship Dinner. This is the perfect way to finish the week and get some great photos for the gram. With a live band booked we hope this will be the cherry on top of a great week!
