Sailing Chandlery RS200 Northern Tour

The days are getting longer, the weather is getting warmer, and the RS200s are coming out of hibernation for another year of great racing on the Sailing Chandlery RS200 Northern Tour.

This year, the tour boasts a bumper 8 events, which for the first time in years will cover the whole of the northern region (!!!!), from the northeast of England to north Wales. No matter where you sail in the north, there really is no reason not to get stuck in and attend a tour event near you!

The #SC200NT kicks off on Saturday 12 April 2025 at Yorkshire Dales SC for the season opener. YDSC are renowned for their hospitality and with 25 degrees and sunshine forecast (the Yorkshire Dales is known for its tropical weather in April!), this will be a great event to dust off the cobwebs and get back on the water. More details and entry link here.  

After YDSC, there is not long until the second, and one of the most anticipated events on not only the Northern Tour, but the national calendar as the Spring Championships, part of the Rooster Championship Tour, heads to Ullswater. This year, SailJuice have teamed up with Ullswater SC to support the event and will be providing trackers for each boat to get precise on-the-water data. This is not an event to be missed! And if you did not know, we need a new Northern Rep (badly!). As much as I would love to continue, having a southern northern rep does not work for the fleet both practically and logistically. We really need a volunteer to step forward and take on the tour for the rest of the year to make sure prizes are given out, reports are written for sponsors, and dates are set for 2026. Please message me if you are interested in taking over! If you don't want to commit to the whole tour rep role, please step forward to be the rep for the event at your club.
