Coaching at Northampton SC 9th April - Charter Boats Available
RS Sailing and the RS500 Class Association are aiming to mobilise the RS500 club fleets this year, and tempt new sailors to the class. Dinghy show sales and enquiries certainly suggested a renewed interest in the class, and RS Sailing are supporting the initiative with charter boats available for training and the Nationals.
There will be some charter boats available for this training event at a low cost. The Class Association also have access to other boats that can be lent out for a small charge to cover insurance.
The weekend will be a great chance to get to know the boat, ask all those rigging, tuning and boat handling questions and really interrogate a couple of great RS 500 sailors, as well as have a sail with other RS500’s.
Tim Wilkins (previous RS500 World, European and National Championship will be leading the coaching team supported by Debbie Darling (Olympian in 470’s) and hopefully Chris Tuckett (top RS500 crew, current European Champion and top 10 in the Worlds).
There is lots of local accommodation and camping facilities are available.
Please contact [email protected] or Tim Wilkins [email protected] if you are interested in booking a Charter boat (they will need to be booked in advance) or borrowing a boat, or if oyu would like to know more about the boat or the event.
Places can be booked via the Association Shop (see menu tab on the left of this page)
